Chaunte Tate, Esq. is a contract and trademark lawyer in the metro Atlanta area who is dedicated to the growth and development of entrepreneurs across the nation. Chaunte began her career in the courtroom where she served as a law clerk in both federal and state court. While there, she gained significant exposure to a variety of contract disputes revolved directly around the intersection of business law. After her clerkships, she began working as a litigation association at a nationally-recognized civil litigation law firm where she defended big corporations and insurance companies in workers’ compensation claims.

While Chaunte enjoyed corporate life, she soon acknowledged the value of ownership and her passion to help entrepreneurs build and protect their ownership. She transitioned and launched the Law Office of C.J. Tate, LLC, a law firm committed to assisting entrepreneurs and creatives in protecting their businesses and brands with the support of the law. Chaunte utilizes her litigation experience to help minimize expensive lawsuits by ensuring that businesses are built on a solid legal foundation.

Chaunte received her Doctor of Law from Emory University School of Law and graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. When she is not practicing law, Chaunte enjoys attending poetry slams, biking at Piedmont Park, and traveling with friends and family.
